The complete Led Zeppelin collection: $99.99 on iTunes. Hm...let's investigate.

All of their studio tracks: amazing. Live recordings: pretty cool, would have been better as DVD with concert footage if this were a physical collection. Mothership:... wait what's that?

So we would get stairway, kashmir, black dog and the other 21 songs again. Some even for the third or fifth time (including live recordings and BBC sessions). But why? It doesn't add to the price: we should be paying $163.35 for $0.99 songs. Mothership costs $14. Mothership doesn't contain new recordings of the songs, they're "hand-picked" by the three remaining members.
Mothership occupying approximately 127.9 MB of a hard drive (yes that took a long time to make a Mothership playlist and drag Early Days/Latter Days (deleting only three) and add four songs from the Box Set albums), which on my MacBook (from the first batch of MacBook, with only a 60GB HD) is a lot. Kidding. So, I guess if you don't have any Led Zeppelin collections or box sets this is a perfect chance to get all of their albums and recordings. But I don't need it because I copied my cousin's Box Set 1 and got 55 tracks from four cd's with a lot of shit I didn't have previously (from just Early/Latter Collection). That's nice, though: if my hard-drive crashes at the beginning of this summer, too, and I lose all of my music, again, I can just drive to Dayton and thief his music. But with the iTunes store, you need to back your shit up to an iPod, external HD, or buy backup CD's/DVD's (thank god I had my nano last year).
Sorry for rambling on towards the end and it must feel like ten years are gone now, but hey what can I do, I'm just trying to find a way to show all of my love for the greatest band in the world.
Final thought: White Summer/Black Mountain Side is worth $99.99 to me, so get it!
